The Great Sandy Biosphere supports a range of events within the region. Information on workshops, field days and festivals may be found below. We will also list Events from outside our region that promote the ideas of the Great Sandy Biosphere - sustainability, economic development and preservation of our natural resources.

Sustainable House Day

Eco-Queenslander Holiday Home, winner of this years' Qld Premiers Sustainability Award for Small Business, is holding an open day as part of Sustainable House Day on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 10am - 4.00pm

Tours of the holiday home, showcasing its green features, will be conducted throughout the day, At 12:00 a presentation on The Great Sandy Biosphere will be given by a representative from BMRG

When: Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 10am – 4pm.
Location: Eco-Queenslander Holiday Home and B&B, 15 Treasure St., Maryborough
